Director of Studies, Eva
Eva began teaching with Rightword in July 2017 and took on the role of Director of Studies in March 2019. From maintaining Rightword’s consistent teaching standards to implementing new lesson plans and designs, to assessing a student’s learner pathway from induction to school departure, Eva has improved our academic approach, direction and ethos significantly in a short space of time. Eva also oversaw the introduction of our Learner Journal, an authentic and practical learning tool for all our students. Approachable, hard-working and student-focused always, we are very fortunate to have Eva as our DoS.
Assistant Director of Studies, Emma
Emma is Rightword’s longest-serving teacher, beginning in September 2017. We were delighted when Emma accepted the role of Assistant Director of Studies in March 2020. While continuing to teach, Emma’s role is to assess current school policies, work closely with both staff and students to gain essential and authentic feedback to ensure Rightword is a school that continues to improve. Emma’s role also extends to a student support role, which is really valued by students. We look forward to seeing Emma’s positive impact on the school in the future.
