Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I need a visa?

Yes, you are from a VISA-required country, so you must apply for a VISA before coming to Ireland.

Each Irish Embassy has its own processing times. Please check with your local embassy before registering with us.

You can check a step by step on how to apply for a visa here: How to apply for long term study visa – Immigration Service Delivery (irishimmigration.ie)

Q. Can I stay longer than 8 months in Ireland?

Yes, you can renew your student visa twice, for a total of 2 years.

To renew your visa, you must have at least 85% of attendance in classes.

Q. What kind of work can I get and how many hours can I work?

A student visa entitles you to work part-time if your work does not interfere with your studies.

During May, June, July, August and September and between December 15th and January 15th, it is possible to work full time, up to 40 hours per week.

There are no restrictions on the type of work you can get. But due to visa limitations (part-time/20 hours per week), most students work in the hospitality and services sector.

Some popular jobs are bar staff, cleaning, au pair, shop assistant, food delivery, etc.

Minimum wage: €11,30 per hour.

Q. Is the accommodation included?

No, but we offer Student Residences starting from €180 per week (Shared Room) or €250 per week (Private Room or Host Family).

We recommend booking at least 2 weeks of accommodation with our school. You can then use this time to look for permanent housing in Limerick.

Q. What are the payment methods?

Students can pay by Bank Transfer, Debit/Credit Card, Wise, and Global66.

From the great King John's Castle to the vibrant Thomond Park

In Limerick your money lasts longer

Studying abroad requires a large investment, so it is important to take into account the cost of living when choosing your destination.

According to “Expatistan“, Limerick has a cost of living 26% lower than Dublin, 9% lower than Cork and 4% lower than Galway.

In other words, the €3000 (minimum amount) you need to bring for immigration purposes, in addition to lasting longer, will give you more security and time to support yourself while looking for a job and a room to rent.

A under control real-estate market and a wide range of opportunities

Limerick has emerged as the newest technological hub in Ireland, which has been generating a large number of qualified jobs and indirectly boosting trade and the number of unskilled jobs.

When it comes to housing, it’s no surprise that the real estate in Dublin and Cork is out of control. In Limerick the situation is still under control with plenty of rooms for rent.

According to the latest statistics from Daft.ie, the average price of a 2 bedroom apartment in central Dublin costs €2,056, in Cork €1,013, in Galway €926 and in Limerick €831.

To secure the offer and your registration with Rightword, you must pay €500 by the end of the month. The remaining balance must be paid upon your Visa Approval. The Acceptance Letter and Insurance Policy, documents required for the VISA application, are sent 48 hours after payment confirmation.
